Summer 2009   —   Corporate Headquarters




PII fabricated the Glu-laminated timber trusses for a private construction company that was being built in Atglen, PA. Also seen in the photo is laminated timber roof decking that PII provided for this project.

February 2009   —   An Urban Wildlife Refuge




The Russell W. Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge is currently under construction along the Wilmington, Delaware waterfront. Visitors to the riverfront will soon be able to escape to this unique urban wildlife refuge.

November 2008   —   Wooddale Bridge Nears Completion




The bridge project nears completion with the additions of roofing and siding.

Fall 2008   —   Wooddale Covered Bridge-Update




The long awaited completion of the covered bridge gained much headway in October when the main timber structure was set in place by a huge crane.

Spring 2008   —   Pocopson Elementary School




PII donated and installed a new Outdoor Classroom at a neighboring school. The new outdoor pavilion will serve as an additional learning environment for students to facilitate classroom instruction in the wide open space and fresh air. A Grand Opening took place to officially dedicate the space and thank all those involved.

Fall 2007   —   Aquatic Center Gets A New Roof




Chatham County Aquatic Center in Savannah Georgia recieved a new roof for the 42,000 square foot building. PII manufactured the huge wood trusses, 140 feet in width, which now span the pool area where there once was an inflatable dome.

Summer 2007   —   Office Complex Continues To Grow




Pocopson Industries supplied the heavy timber roof system on a second project at the Chatham Financial Corporate Office complex in Kennett Square, PA. The new 3 story, 32,000 sq. ft. office building followed the same open timber floor plan of the first building that was completed in 2006.

Summer 2007   —   Wooddale Covered Bridge


For the second time, a Covered Bridge in Delaware is to be Re Built with the help of Pocopson Industries Heavy Timber Systems. PII has been awarded the contract to supply the timber structure for the replacement of the Wooddale covered bridge that was washed down stream during tropical storm Henri in 2003. The bridge will be re-constructed to match its historic dimensions while incorporating some modification to ensure a long life protected from future flood events. The bridge provides the residents of Wooddale access to its small community. PII took part in the reconstruction of the historic Smithbridge (located in Centreville, De) in 2002
